Kuala Lumpur Golden Triangle known as Kuala Lumpur's commercial, shopping and entertainment hub, the Kuala Lumpur Golden Triangle is actually a large area that encompasses a number of major streets. Three roads - Jalan Imbi, Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan Raja Chulan form a triangle which borders the entire Golden Triangle area. It includes the entire Kuala Lumpur City Center which is home to the Petronas Twin Towers, the Suria KLCC shopping centre, KLCC Convention Center and the KLCC Park.

The Bukit Bintang Street that is located within the vicinity of the Golden Triangle is also a celebrated shopping and entertainment venue of this district. There are a few popular shopping malls across each other that include Low Yat Plaza, Sungai Wang Plaza, Lot 10 and Times Square. The Jalan Sultan Ismail strip features an impressive list of hotels in the Golden Triangle Kuala Lumpur making this area an important tourist hub as well.

At night, the street turns into a walk where you can wine and dine al-fresco in modern cafes and restaurants. Nightlife in the Kuala Lumpur Golden Triangle is home to some of KL’s most popular and largest nightclubs all the way from Bukit Bintang to the Sultan Ismail there are nightspots aplenty to cater to the penchant of every night bird which include the Hard Rock Cafe, Beach Club (which was voted as the Best Bar in Asia), Luna Bar, Rum Jungle, Nuovo, Espanda and so many others.

Why Kuala Lumpur?

Kuala Lumpur is the capital and the largest city of Malaysia. The city proper, making up an area of 244 km2, has an estimated population of 1.6 million in 2006. More than any other spot in the Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, or "KL" as it is commonly known, is the focal point of new Malaysia. While the city's past is still present in the evocative British colonial buildings of the Dataran Merdeka and the midnight lamps of the Petaling Street nightmarket, that past is everywhere met with insistent reminders of Kuala Lumpur present and future.

Greater Kuala Lumpur, also known as Klang Valley, is an urban agglomeration of 7.2 million. It is the fastest growing metropolitan region in the country, in terms of population as well as economy. The city's bustling streets, its shining, modern office towers, and its cosmopolitan air project an unbounded spirit of progress and symbolize Malaysia's unhesitating leap into the future. To some, this spirit seems to have been gained at the loss of ancient cultural traditions, but in many ways Kuala Lumpur marks the continuation rather than the loss of Malaysia's rich past. Like Malacca five hundred years before, Kuala Lumpur commercial centre is a grand meeting place for merchants and travelers from all over the world.
